What is an Infected Mutant? Empty What is an Infected Mutant?

I'm currently thinking over powers for mutants and it forces me to plan exactly what is an infected mutant.
Here is an email sent by an unknown scientist employed by an unknown company Wink

==================================================================
A Zombie as everyone knows is a cadaver reanimated by a Virus.
This virus usually reacts the same way for every one but it's effect
can vary depending on DNA strains, allowing it to evolve.

The compatibility to evolve is 10% (Might be changed) of the overall population (Players are all compatible)
but it also requires enough time for the virus itself to activate and mutate further.
24 Hours as a zombie is usually enough for the virus to fully evolve.
In some rare cases the mutation can occur minutes after the virus first activated (Exp Cost)

At this point, the infected becomes able to walk almost like a living human.
It's brain regains enough functions to be compared to that of an animal.
The mutant retains his hunger for flesh and his decomposed body but appears to regenerate lost limbs after some time.

To mutate further any infected must consume fresh corpses and survive long enough for the
virus to retain or flush the fresh DNA. The requirements for mutations are yet unclear and we will
require more specimens both alive and dead to uncover these particular details.

The mutation themselves are varied but all are tailored to it's unending hunger for living beings.
The most powerful of these mutations requires the mutant to enter a state similar to sleep to activate
and once completed cannot or will not be removed. Amputation is the only way.
The lesser ones are usually dormant within the infected body until they are activated and
can be retracted back into his body.

More details will be sent as they become available.
When can we expect our next shipment of test subjects?
